The drywall is set to start on Thursday, but I will be out of town until Sunday, so there won't be any updates until then. Hope you can make it!

Coming this week: inspections, insulation, drywall, and a bunch of other stuff.

Days without an accident: ZERO!!

Shortly after this...

We had an accident. Someone tripped and busted his lip on the hardwood. Needless to say, daddy had to throw a bloody shirt away. But, fear not...the little man pulled through it and was bouncing around just an hour later.

Window/Chimney/AC unit

It's been a few days since I've gotten a chance to post new pics. As I've stated before, there aren't a lot of major things going on. Just a bunch of minor things. Today, however, we had a few bigger things done.

Before...

Today. When it dries, you'll never be able to tell the window was ever there.

Yet more random pics

This is the stage where most of the "wow" stuff slows down and we get a lot of technical aspects the guys call "mechanicals" which means HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Doesn't mean it isn't important, just that it isn't likely to excite many outside of us. But, by all means, do enjoy today's round of pics.

Staircase finished!

This has been replaced by...

This. And even better...

This! To you, not impressive. To us, AWESOME!!

Bye bye, old wallpaper!

Like I said, nothing too exciting, but very important to the overall project.

Hope you're having a nice weekend!

The electricians started the bulk of their work as you can see in these pics...

And more plumbing. The guys hope to wrap everything up by the weekend.

Random pics

Tuesday August 4, 2009 may go down as the wettest day in history. The fact ANYONE got any work done without a boat is nothing short of a miracle. The guys indeed got some work done. Check out some random pics...
